About Us

Peace Sanctum Society believes that a peaceful world begins with peaceful individuals. And for individuals to truly feel at peace, the journey must start within.

Our mission is rooted in the understanding that inner peace isn’t an abstract ideal, it’s a conscious, lived experience that emerges from deep self-awareness, self-acceptance and emotional mastery. We guide individuals to explore their inner world, to recognize their thoughts, feelings, emotions and unmet needs and to learn how to navigate them with compassion and clarity.

A Sanctuary for Seekers, Leaders & Changemakers

Peace Sanctum Society was founded in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in February 2023 by Sowmya Thanigachalam – a Trainer and an Educator whose vision grew out of her own transformative journey of healing and inner growth.

When people learn to understand and embrace their authentic selves, they begin to relate to others from a place of empathy, integrity and grounded presence. This ripple effect, when multiplied, creates harmonious homes, conscious workplaces and ultimately a more peaceful world.

We envision a world prepared for the Golden Age – a collective rising of consciousness where people live in alignment, not reaction; where the human spirit is nourished, not numbed.

Peace Sanctum Society is a sacred space for those who seek to evolve. It is a sanctuary for seekers, professionals, leaders and changemakers who are ready to raise their vibration, unlock their potential and contribute to a better world from the inside out.

If you’ve been searching for a place that honors your inner truth and supports your transformation – welcome home.

Sowmya Thanigachalam

Founder & CEO

Sowmya Thanigachalam is the Founder and CEO of Peace Sanctum Society, a platform born from her own journey of inner searching, healing, and self-discovery. From a young age, Sowmya experienced emotional and mental challenges that led her to ask deeper questions about life, identity, and purpose. Even as she built a stable and fascinating corporate career travelling, training professionals, and achieving external milestones, there was an inner unrest that remained untouched. Success and security could not quiet the deeper longing she carried: to understand herself, to feel at peace, and to live with authenticity.

Earlier, her corporate journey, however, was not an easy one - experiences of bullying, stress, low self-esteem, and trust issues made her workplace life deeply challenging. Yet, amidst these struggles, moments of kindness and support from a few individuals planted a powerful seed, showing her what workplaces could feel like when compassion and respect are present. This contrast shaped her vision: to contribute toward creating work environments that are emotionally safe, conscious, and humane.

With over 12 years of experience in the training and facilitation industry, Sowmya is a Self-Awareness Educator, Certified Corporate Trainer, and Sound Healer. She has worked with and impacted over 900 individuals and professionals through training programs, workshops, and one-to-one sessions. Her work is informed by her ongoing training and supervision in Transactional Analysis psychology through the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA), which she has been engaged with for over five years.

Sound healing holds a deeply personal place in Sowmya’s journey. What began as a profound support during her own healing later evolved into a path she felt called to offer others -first as a recipient, then as a practitioner. With lived experience, years of facilitating sound healing sessions, and a Certification in Fundamentals of Music Therapy, she holds spaces with gentleness, sensitivity, and deep respect for each individual’s inner rhythm.

Peace Sanctum Society is not merely a professional venture for Sowmya, it is a reflection of her lived journey of resilience, self-inquiry, and conscious growth. She believes that when individuals reconnect with themselves through awareness and acceptance, relationships, workplaces, and communities naturally begin to transform. If you find yourself on a similar path, Sowmya warmly invites you to connect and walk this journey inward at your own pace, in your own way.
